James S. McCarthy
Founder & Managing Director
Before founding Chronos Energy James worked within his family ran property development business, Churchill Retirement Living... one of the largest retirement home developers in the UK. Here, James had over half a decade of experience in multiple aspects of the business and for the last 4 years of his time in Churchill he focused in acquisitions where he sourced, structured and negotiated deals in excess of £20 million with total GDV’s in excess of £100 million.
John Schillereff
Vice President of Power Generation
John joined the Chronos team in October of 2023 bringing over fifteen years of oilfield and industrial experience. John brings a wealth of experience to the Chronos team holding entry level positions all the way to Director of Maintenance at US Well Services. Currently he is maintaining his position as CEO of Schillereff Power Generation and Oilfield Solutions LLC while serving in his Chronos Capacity. He has also reached the rank of First Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve serving in his twenty first year. John has multiple leadership schools through the military and attended Southern New Hampshire University for business.
Tyler Schmill
Head of Operations
Tyler has extensive experience in upstream oil and gas, having worked across all major US basins. As the Bakken Field Chief at Great American Mining, he managed 12 sites and over 4000 servers, showcasing his leadership and project management skills. His career has focused on identifying and optimizing inefficient or stranded energy to create valuable,
harmonious use cases.
